The present manuscript entitled “comparative bio-efficacy of aqueous extracts of Loncarpous cyanescens and Trema orientalis against flea beetle (Podagrica spp) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) infestation and yeild of okra” by Adesina, J. M. and Afolabi, L. A. of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Nigeria is a research work revealing some interesting facts. It is evident from the study that the plant evaluated (L. cyanescens and T. orientalis) possess insecticidal properties which may be exploited as bio-insecticide as alternative to synthetic insecticide in the control of Podagrica uniforma (Jaq.) and Nisotra dilecta (Jaq.) infestation under organic okra production. Thereby the evaluated plants may be used to suppress flea beetles infestation and improve okra yield.
